MISSIONS

 It is not too soon to start thinking about serving on a mission team for 2009. We have paid our deposits to send teams to two locations as follows;

Red Bird Mission Project July 6-13th.
This is a United Methodist project serving the profoundly poor folks of Beverly Kentucky. This is a work project open to people 16 years or older. Younger children may come with a parent, but please remember that it is 5 full days of working on home repairs, in food kitchens or in any way that they may need our help. Harmons, Jamaica August 16-23rd T
his 8 day trip is a safe way to experience 3rd world living conditions in the hills of South Central Jamaica. We will continue in the work as we have on the past 4 trips. Our primary goal is to build 1 or 2 new “homes”(12’ x 16’) for a family that has waited at least 5 years to receive such a blessing. We will also take clothing, medicine and school supplies. This trip is open to people age 16 and up, unless you come with a parent. Cost has yet to be determined but it will be at least $1375.00/person)
